The Serial Number (D4585732H): Vintage Doxa casebacks from 1940–1966 use a 7-digit system where the first two digits signify the production year (45 represents 1945). The letter prefixes and suffixes—such as the "D" and "H" integrated into your registration—stand for Deutsches Heer (German Army), confirming its official military status.
It showcases a 33mm to 34mm stainless steel or chrome-plated case housing a matte black "gilt" military dial. It features aged radium luminous Arabic numerals, a sub-seconds chapter ring at the 6 o'clock position, and classic syringe-style hands.
Inside is typically a robust Swiss-made, 15-jewel manual-wing Doxa 12" Calibre 1 movement.
